Abstract:The Old Man and the Sea is the best-known novella of American writer Ernest Hemingway,which won him the Nobel Price in 1945.
Hemingway successfully created a Cuban fisherman, Santiago, who had many distinctive characters. Santiago impressed the audience with his endurance, optimism and confidence. He never gives up his pride and dignity as a man.
His character has always been a great inspiration to the audience.
