Abstract：Developing cultural industry is a important way to meet people’s growing spiritual and cultural needs.And New York always play a important role in the development of cultural industry in America even in the world.Based on the adjustment of the industrial structure,New York’s cultural industry become a new economic growth point of the city.This paper combines the adjustment of industrial structure in America and analysis the background and driving factors of the development of cultural industries,and also have a introduce to the Broadway.Finally,I research the relationship between the development of city and cultural industries.

This paper id divided into 4 major parts.The first part mainly introduces the content of the cultural industry and elaborates the background and the situation of cultural industries in New York.

The second part mainly analysis the relationship between the adjustment of industrial structure and the development of cultural industries.And I get a conclusion that the development of the cultural industries in New York is based on the adjustment of industrial structure.

The third part analysis the reasons for the development of cultural industries in New York.It is not only has the amount of human resources and government policies, but also the media industry contributes to the development of the cultural industries.

The last part describes the development of city and cultural  industries is a complementary relationship.It including the city economy and the city society.The development of economy and society of city lay a solid foundation for the development of cultural industries,at the same time ,it also promote the development of city.

In the conclusion , I describe the advantages of New York for the development of culture industry and have a further thought about the development of city.
