Abstract: Interest is a good teacher for pupils to learn a foreign language. Games can help create opportunities for students to take an active part in the English learning, and they are popular in chasses in Primary schools, where games are widely used for instructional purposes. And it is an important task for English teachers to arouse students’ interest at present. The paper roughly introduces the different kinds of games and functions in English vocabulary teaching for Primary school students. It also concludes the problems that should be paid attention to during the process. Reference for primary English vocabulary teaching can be provided in this essay to improve students’ interest of learning English.

摘要：兴趣是学好语言的老师。游戏是小学英语教学中一种常见的手段，它可以激发学生学习英语的兴趣，让学生通过参与游戏使用语言，以提高学生的语言应用能力。对小学英语教师来说，激发学生学习英语的兴趣是当前小学英语教学的一项重要任务。本文大致列举了小学英语词汇教学中可使用的游戏种类以及不同用途，也总结了在此过程中需要注意的问题。希望此文能为小学英语词汇教学提供借鉴和参考，以提高学生学习英语的兴趣。
