Abstract: The present paper analyzes the underlying weaknesses of Chinese students’ oral English in terms of pronunciation, intonation and communicative competence. According to the theory of negative transfer in SLA, it is suggested that conscious learning is crucial for non-native speakers. Based on the input & output theory, it is proposed that the balance between the two of them can greatly enhance learners’ oral English ability. The paper tentatively puts forward five language learning strategies to help improve learner’ oral English: imitation, recitation, writing, role play and retelling.

摘要:本文剖析了目前广大中国英语学习者在语音、语调和交际能力方面普遍存在的问题,以二语习得中的语言负迁移理论为基础,提出在第二语言学习过程中要注重有意识学习的重要性,强调输入与输出平衡协调发展对于学习者英语口语水平的提高有促进作用,文章尝试性地提出了包括模仿、背诵、写作、角色扮演和复述在内的语言学习策略。
