Abstract:In recent years, by the blooming of the Internet, many excellent television series rise and spread from the world immediately. For instance, A Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory, Two broken girls, Breaking Bad, Friends and so on. Those famous American television series show the world the multiformity of American cultures and values, so they gain so many fans. One of the most famous and popular America TV series A Game of Thrones is adapted from the fantasy novel A Song of Ice and Fire written by George R·R Martin. This TV series is famous for its complexity with ancient and mysterious magic power, dragon, political conspiracy, bloody battle field, duel, and religion.And the main plots of this story are based on three major Houses on this land, House Stark, House Lannister and House Targaryen. The primary purpose of this essay is to analyze the languages in Game of Thrones, including non-verbal language analysis, syntax and tones analysis, vocabulary analysis. This research is trying to study the American cultures and values in A Game of Thrones by language analysis. The research will help English learners to improve their ability of cross-culture communication.
