Abstract:Animal Farm was first published in 1945 and has been widely paid attention to. Animal Farm depicts a variety of different characteristics of animals living on the manor. The author satirize the totalitarianism and the excessive pursuit of power by the fable form of human beings, and portrays their ugly faces vividly. This article is divided into four parts. The first part is a brief introduction to the author Orwell and the Animal Farm. The second part gives a simple explanation of the definition of totalitarianism, the development process and the characteristics. The third part is the main part of the article. The totalitarianism in the Animal Farm is studied in the plot, the language characteristics and the fourth part of the Animal Farm. The practical significance of totalitarianism is analyzed. By analyzing the totalitarianism in the novel, this paper aims to guide readers to understand the totalitarian politics, and also to warn the real society. In today's society, the concept of democracy and peace is existed , the thought of pluralism is in constant collision. Although totalitarianism is difficult to spread, it is still worth our research. I hope this study can provide a certain idea and reference in the research of totalitarianism in the Animal Farm.

摘要:《动物庄园》首次出版于1945年，一经问世就受到广泛关注，《动物庄园》描写了生活在庄园上的各式各样不同性格特征的动物，作者以拟人的寓言形式讽刺了极权主义和过度追求权力的人，把他们的丑恶嘴脸刻画得淋漓尽致。本文分为四部分，第一部分对作者奥威尔和动物庄园进行了简单的介绍，第二部分对极权主义的定义，发展过程和特点进行了简单的阐述，第三部分为文章的主要部分，对《动物庄园》中的极权主义在情节上，语言特色上等方面进行了研究，第四部分对《动物庄园》中极权主义的现实意义进行了分析。本文通过对小说中极权主义的分析，以期引导读者更加形象的理解极权政治，同时也对现实社会予以警示。在当今社会中民主主义和和平观念已经根深蒂固，多元化的思想在不断的碰撞，虽然极权主义已经很难传播，但是依然值得我们对其研究，希望本次研究能在《动物庄园》中极权主义的研究中提供一定的思路和借鉴作用。
