摘要:随着全球化的日益发展,标语的宣传在中外经济,文化,政治交流中起着举足轻重的作用。然而英语,作为国际通用语言,在中国也大为流行。标语口号的英译越来越成为译者有待解决的问题。标语的翻译属于特殊的文体翻译,它的翻译原则应该与其他文体的翻译原则有所不同。如果每条标语都像法律条文和科技语篇那样丝丝入扣,句句忠实,其译文恐怕会不堪卒读。所以如何把标语译得传神达意,简洁凝练,紧扣主题,令人过目不忘是翻译工作者必须面对的关键问题。本文通过大量地阅读书籍和实地考察,收集大量有关标语口号的资料,解读标语口号的定义,了解其价值,分析其功能,语句与修辞特点。剖析中译英翻译实例,进行错误分析,总结中文标语英译的原则,策略与解决方。本文首先对标语,包括其意义功能,语言特点,修辞特点等方面进行进一步的了解,再根据中英翻译的基本理论,通过分析标题翻译的通病,探讨中英语句表达的特点和译文可接受性的问题,研究如何做好中文标语的英译,研究结果表明:中文标语的英译的方法主要是直译,意译,和创译。
