Abstract: Person deixis mainly consist of personal pronouns. The violation of the pre-emptive usage of personal pronouns is called anti-preemptive usage. The unconventional choice and appliance of person deixis show abundant pragmatic meanings and artistic charm. The Bible is a giant corpus as a classic and historical literary work. There are many language materials in it containing anti-preemptive usages of person deixis. On the basis of formal research findings, this paper will make a rearrangement and statistic analysis of the different anti-preemptive usages existing in the Bible. At the same time, this text tries to explore the specific expressional methods of person deixis by studying typical language examples.
