Abstract:This paper mainly analyzes the development status and theoretical research of “cooperative learning”, and finds problems which existed in the cooperative learning in middle school English class through literature research, questionnaire investigation and classroom observation. These problems including that students can’t get along well with each other, classroom noise and free-ride phenomenon, etc. On this basis, in order to further explore the strategies of improving English cooperative learning from the perspective of cooperative learning executors --- teachers, it mainly put forward that we need to create the favorable terms for cooperative learning, make practical teaching tasks, strengthen the guidance of group activities and evaluate objectively and fairly.
