Abstract
The passive voice is widely used in English in order to focus on the facts and objectiveness, or in order to show politeness , etc .In comparison , the active voice is more frequently used.
Compared with the active voice, English passive voice has special pragmatic value. Governed by the speaker’s communicative intention and the context.The passive voice is widely used in the various writing styles.Thus,this paper deals with the problem of the pragmatic analysis of passive voice in English in daily use and other different aspects which aims at helping readers understand the sentence or the context easier and use the passive voice more skillfully.
