Abstract
Festival is a kind of group activity of mankind, a cultural phenomenon, an important part of human culture, which centrally, deeply and comprehensively reflects the elegance of a national culture and background. Due to the natural environment, social environment and the historical development, China and western country formed two different festival cultures. In today's world multicultural coexistence, under the situation of eastern and western cultures, people reveal the intrinsic value of traditional festival, expand and strengthen its functions from the perspective of the concept of modern society.
