Abstract:Foodie is a word to describe the people who areextremely fascinated by food. It is a common word in our life. With the rapid development of economy and the more important status in the world,Chinese cuisine are not only provided to Chinese, but also available abroad. They are famous overseas as a kind of civilization representative. In the age of globalization, Chinese food also can boost the economic development. The economic base determines the superstructure.Chinese cuisine owns predictablyasignificantvalueforexistence.So, the translationof Chinese food is reckoned.The paper explores the skills of translation of Chinese cuisine names through researchthe stylistic features,fundamental, lexical, syntactic and rhetorical devices. To compare the Chinese and English translation,we can better follow the guidelines and rules of translation so that we can fight against cultural differences, and achieve the best publicity results.
