本次翻译实践选取的材料来自于科幻小说《我在虚拟的世界中无眠》一书中的第一、二章，章节题目分别是：《深坑》和《无眠》。该书为西方出版物，还没有被翻译过且难度适中。科幻小说是科学和文学相结合的特殊文学形式，既有一般文学所有的共性，也有其特殊性，文学性、科学性、幻想性是其主要的特点。因此在翻译过程会碰到很多抽象词、虚构词，需要反复斟酌，结合上下文语境，用恰当的词句描绘出真实的场面。

本论文的主要内容由两大部分构成,第一部分是翻译，第二部分是论文。

第一部分主:翻译科幻小说《我在虚拟的世界中无眠》一书中的第一、二章。第一章主要讲的是在一个虚拟环境——深坑中，以主人公艾登为主的团队与上级团队之间的一系列模拟作战，最后艾登潜能爆发，战胜对手。第二章讲述的是在现实环境中，因为特殊的天赋，艾登过的与众不同的日常生活以及和艾斯特格上将的一次秘密谈话。

第二部分是小论文部分，记录自己的翻译心得。科幻小说需要幻想，需要创造。很多抽象的用词需要仔细斟酌选择，既要遵循文学性的标准，又要以现实的科学为基础。很多长短句在翻译过程中需要恰当的结合和分解。分析翻译过程中遇到的问题以及问题的解决办法。总结自己学到的一些科幻小说的翻译技巧。

INTRODUCTION

The material of this translation practice is from a science fiction I Am Sleepless Sim. I select the first and second chapters of the novel, the chapter titles are: The Pit and Sleepless. The book is the Western publication and has not been translated. The difficulty of this novel is moderate. Science fiction is a special literary form, which combines science and literature, not only has the general characters that literature has, but also has its own particularity, scientificity and creativity. Creativity is its main characteristics. Therefore, in the translation process, there are a lot of abstract words and fictive words. It needs to be considered again and again, combining with context,  and then chooses appropriate words to depict the real scene.

    The main content of this paper consists of two parts. The first part is the translation and the second part is the essay.

    First part is the translation of chapter One and Two of the science fiction I Am Sleepless Sim. In Chapter One, it mainly talks about that in a virtual environment---a deep pit, Aidan, the protagonist, carries out a series of simulation battle with his team competing with the superior team. Finally Aidan breaks out his potential and beats opponents in the competition. Chapter Two is about Aidan's distinctive daily life and a secret conversation with General Estrago in the real environment.

The second part is the essay, which records translation experiences. Science fiction needs to create. Many abstract words need to carefully consider and choose, not only follow the standard of literature, but also are based on scientific reality . A lot of short or long sentences in the translation process need appropriate combination and decomposition. Problems and solutions to the problems encountered in the process of translation need to analyze. Some science fiction translation skills are summarized.
