功能对等理论视角下英文歌词汉译策略研究--Someone Like You为例.doc

Abstract：With globalization accelerating its pace, English songs have been flowing into China as a part of cultural exchange. In order to make Chinese people understand English songs better, many people have been exploring the Chinese translation of English songs. The scholars both domestic and abroad put forward many famous translation principles, theories and methods to solve barriers in culture, rhyme and rhythm, which make great contributions to the translation of English songs. However, few people have discussed the guiding role of functional equivalence translation theory in the process of translation of English songs into Chinese. 

This paper attempts to study the translation of English songs from the perspective of functional equivalence translation theory, and to explore the translation strategies for English song translation from the macroscopic and microscopic perspectives, with a view to providing some practical suggestions on how to improve the translation of English lyrics. The lyric translation not only needs to convey the meaning in place, but also to pay attention to the rhythm and rhyme, which attaches importance to the equivalence in the meaning as well as the form. Therefore, the functional equivalence translation theory has its unique guidance to the lyric translation.

中文摘要：随着全球化进程的不断加快，各国间的文化交流也日益广泛，因此英文歌曲不断地流入中国。为了使英文歌曲为更多的国人所了解，许多人对英文歌曲歌词的汉译不断地进行探索。在歌词汉译中，必然会出现文化、韵律、节奏等各种障碍，为此中外学者提出许多著名翻译理论，原则及方法，对英文歌曲的翻译做出了重要的贡献。但是，鲜有人探讨功能对等翻译理论对英文歌词汉译的指导作用。

本文拟从功能对等翻译理论的视角对英文歌词翻译加以研究，并从宏观和微观层面探讨该理论下英文歌词的汉译策略,以期为如何提高英文歌词汉译水平提供一些实用性建议。歌词翻译不仅需要正确传达意思，更需要注重韵律和节奏，即不仅追求意义对等，也要体现形式对等，因此功能对等翻译理论对歌词翻译有独到的指导作用。
