Abstract
The famous Muslim woman writer—Huo Da, wrote a long novel: The Jade King: History of a Chinese Muslim Family and won the literary prize of Mao Dun. The novel is thought to be the first to successfully reflect Muslim people’s long history and their reality life. The story is mainly about a Chinese Muslim family’s revival and recession in sixty years, the fate of three generations and two interweaving tragic love and marriage. Thorn Birds is regarded as Gone with the Wind in Australia and the love between Meggie and Ralph is also impressive but tragic. The thesis mainly analyzes three kinds of love and marriage from a Chinese Muslim Family in terms of religion. They are the traditional love of elder generation, the love in the special social surroundings and the new-born love, together with a contrast analysis between the new-born love and the love of Meggie and Ralph and make an exploration of the originality of three kinds of love as well as its connotation. From the ancient time to present today, love is an ever-long topic both in literature and people’s daily life and in such a contemporary society, people’s thoughts are no longer confined by rigid doctrines, instead, they are brave enough to break the limitations of religion, time and social circumstances and can make an independent choice while facing their life happiness and they are bold to pursue their true love and happy marriage, which really belongs to them in loving path.
