Abstract:In recent years, researchers at home and abroad have done a lot of researches about English compounds. Most of them focus on its types and structures. This study attempts to discuss the teaching of English compounds under the instruction of the theory of Conceptual Integration. We try to give some advice to improve the teaching quality of English compounds, to help students to understand the meanings of compounds, to improve their way of learning English compounds, and to enlarge the number of their vocabulary. 

   In this essay, we discuss how to teach English compounds under Conceptual Integration Theory. Teachers’ main assignment rages from the introduction of the theory skillfully and the illustration of the theory to the explanation of English compounds. Besides showing the compounds, teachers’ another main assignment is to motivate students to think intimately and to make students understand the formation of English compounds in the perspective of the Conceptual Integration Theory. 

   We hope that this study will be useful in the teaching of English compounds.

摘要:近年来,复合词得到了越来越多的关注。国内外的许多学者都展开了一系列的研究。但是,研究主要围绕复合词的词型、种类等。本文将探讨,概念整合理论下的复合词教学。并对提高复合词教学质量,以及教师应如何帮助学生理解复合词的构建,加强复合词的教学,提高学生词汇量,提出了建议。

   在本次研究中,我们从教学的角度出发,着重研究教师在概念整合理论的指导下应该如何进行英语复合词的教学。我们从对概念整合理论的巧妙引入、解释到运用,阐述了教师在教学过程中的主要任务。本文指出,在概念整合理论指引的复合词教学下,教师除了向学生讲解复合词外,还应积极地对学生进行引导,使他们能够用整合的思维去充分地理解复合词形成。我们希望本研究能够为复合词的教学方面提供一些见解。
