Abstract: The paper mainly represents application of Phonics teaching in Chinese primary schools. It first introduces two difficulties of English teaching in Chinese primary schools. Then the author represents the definition, function and procedures of Phonics. And according to the two difficulties, the author analyses corresponding teaching strategies,that is, sustaining students’ interest in learning English and developing phonemic awareness. Finally it puts forward some suggestions in applying Phonics strategies from the aspect of both teachers and students.

摘要:本文主要阐述了拼读法教学在中国小学英语教学中的应用。文章首先阐述了中国小学英语教学的两大难点,然后作者对英语拼读法的含义,功能和教学步骤进行了阐述,并且就小学英语教学中的两个难点分析了相应的教学策略,即提高学生学习英语的兴趣和培养语音意识,最后分别从教师和学生的角度提出了一些在运用拼读法策略时的建议。
