Abstract:In recent years, with the development of society, the new round of basic education curriculum reform is constantly pushing forward the innovation of classroom teaching and the alterations of students’ learning methods. The reform calls for new requirements in English teaching in China, which shifts the focus of language instruction from teacher-centeredness to student-centeredness. Under the guidance of new theory, the teaching mode of cooperative study is applied extensively and effectively in English teaching. Cooperative study is based on learner-centeredness and regards group work as main part, hence the strategy of which could be applied in English teaching so as to solve the problems raised by the traditional teaching pattern by using “Tug- and-mug method”. This thesis starts from the characteristics of the cooperative study strategy itself, combines the requirements of English learning, elucidates its present investigation station and enlightenment to English teaching, besides, provides a case study of teaching design.

中文摘要:近年来,新一轮基础教育课程改革随着社会的发展,不断推动着课堂教学改革和学生学习方式的改变。这种变更对我国的英语教学提出了新的要求,促使教学重心由教师转向学生。在新的理念的指导下,“合作学习”策略广泛应用于教学活动,并取得一定成效。合作学习是一种以学生为中心,以小组活动为主体的教学活动。因此,在英语教学中可采用“合作学习”策略,以解决传统的教师讲学生听,满堂灌的教学模式所带来的问题。本文从“合作学习”策略本身的特点出发,结合英语学习的要求,阐明了合作学习的研究现状,对英语教学的启示,并提供了一个教学设计的案例。
