Abstract:This thesis mainly analyses the functions of illustrations in English teaching. By introducing the functions of illustrations in English teaching, this thesis illustrates the questions of how teachers can use illustrations in their English teaching according to students’ psychological features and different teaching contents. With the development of education, people pay more attention to the full use of English textbooks including the illustrations in them. In order to know more about the current situation, the author prepares questions for students and interviews for teachers. The author points out the existing problems and also gives some countermeasures on the application of illustrations. The ultimate goal is certainly to find proper methods to improve teaching efficiency and students’ English level.

摘要:本文主要分析插图在英语教学中的功能。通过介绍插图在英语教学中的功能,根据学生的心理特点及不同的教学内容,浅析如何在英语教学中使用插图。随着教育的发展,人们更重视教学资源的充分利用,其中也包括对课本插图的利用。为了了解插图的使用现状,作者进行了问卷调查和访谈,指出了目前插图使用存在的问题及对策,本文的最终目的是为了找到合适的方法提高教学效率及学生的英语水平。
