摘要：《失乐园》是日本著名作家渡边淳一的代表作，是近代颇具爆炸性的力作。作品在创作题材、手法、观念等方面均有新的开拓，渡边淳一在作品中渗入了他个人对性、爱及死亡的看法。尤其在结局处理上采用“情死”方式，具有独特的艺术价值。他以富有个人特色的写作方式深入地表现了爱情与死亡这个永恒的题材，表现自然，风格唯美，同时凸显出日本文学在“死亡意识”方面具有的文化传统和内涵。
