摘要：2005年7月21日人民币汇率制度改革以来，人民币兑美元已经升值20%以上即使是这样，以美国为首的西方发达国家对人民币升值的声音仍不绝于耳。在这状况下，如何应对外界对于人民币升值的压力，降低人民币升值对中国经济产生负而影响，探讨中国的经济发展道路，吸取国际经验教训，这对中国的经济发展，具有深远的影响。
本文通过对汇率变动与经济结构的关联性分析了人民币升值是由人民币汇率估低、利率水平相对较高、经济实力及国际收支双顺差和巨额外汇储备、西方国家的压力以及人们的心理预期等原因引起的，随后在分析原因的基础上讨论了人民币升值对我国经济结构的积极影响以及消极影响，其中积极影响包括对产业结构、贸易结构、劳动力就业结构、居民消费结构以及投资结构等方面的促进作用；消极影响表明人民币升值对国内企业、出口增长以及就业量的阻碍。进而根据这些影响，并且在人民币升值背景下，我们必须加快转变经济发展方式，大力促进科技进步和技术创新，扩大国内居民需求，大力发展现代服务业，保持人民币汇率的相对稳定，从而促进中国经济的发展又快又好，有利提升我国在国际的地位。
