摘要：现代物流是社会化大生产条件下一种新的组织方式和管理技术，是经济、社会和技术发展到一定阶段的必然产物，是融合运输业、仓储业、货运代理业和信息业等的新兴复合型产业。随着经济全球化进程的加快，现代物流业在国民经济中的地位和作用日益凸显，其发展水平已成为衡量一个国家和地区核心竞争力和经济运行质量的重要标志之一。红河州作为一个边疆少数民族自治州，山区多、民族多、贫困人口多、边境线长，特殊的地理位置和环境使现代物流业发展水平较低。主要表现在：物流企业“小、少、弱、散”，第三方物流发展缓慢；物流观念落后，专业化、信息化水平低；物流装备技术落后，基础设施老旧；物流行业政策法规等管理机制不健全，竞争秩序不规范，物流专业人才缺乏等。针对种种问题，本文运用SWOT分析方法，对红河州发展现代物流业的内部优势和劣势，外部机遇和挑战进行深入分析，提出了加强总体规划，加强财政投入和政策支持，加强物流园区建设，加快培育和引进高素质物流专业人才，积极推进物流信息化与物流装备现代化，积极培育现代物流企业等策略和建议，力求寻找一条适合红河州发展现代物流业的思路，为红河州发展现代物流业创造良好的环境。希望有助于红河州在发展现代物流产业时能够扬长避短，抓住机遇，促进现代物流业的高速发展，从而提升红河州经济实力，增强国际竞争力。
