摘要:在二战当中，意大利的确对于轴心国而言，没有取得足以称道的胜利，相反却在很大程度上撤了德军的后腿。在北非作战时候，意大利军队和德军一同作战时，在德国军队的“保护”下，可以完成部分作战任务。总体看来意大利军队在北非战场的军事作为是失败的。由于经济、军事实力薄弱，加之缺乏战争的策动力，没有形成对战争的共识是战败的根源，加之错误的军事策略，昏庸的军事指挥者，以及落后的军事装备。同时，德国始终没有把北非作为自己的主战场，还有实力日益强大的盟军，战争的惨败是无法避免的。北非战场的失败直接推动了盟军迅速攻占了意大利本土，推动了二战的进程。探究德意法西斯在北非战场失败的原因，对意大利在二战中的军事作为也有更加全面的了解，也可以更加清晰的了解意大利在北非战场所起到的作用，深入理解意大利的整个二战中军事疲弱的原因。
